Our National Standards and Procedures for Plant Maintenance

How we update our title plants

To maintain plant currentness and integrity, we employ the following practices when posting to and updating your title plant.

  • Dual-pass offshore keying.
  • Offshore quality control by an independent vendor.
  • Onshore quality control of keying and locating.
  • Plant date advanced when 100% of all recorded documents have been keyed and located, with selected exceptions such as (but not limited to) blanket type documents containing thousands of properties or a lost document by the county. Property-related postings that are momentarily suspended for locating are posted to the General Index for immediate searching.
  • Immediate processing of all newly recorded maps.
  • Daily filed court case updates as applicable per county/region, including all research and locating of property-related cases to all pertinent title plant property accounts.
  • Daily posting of Office Information documents (if/as requested by title).
